Registration of volunteers for GSSE 2015

The website for the registration of volunteers at the GSSE 2015 was activated the 3rd of October. The president of Iceland´s NOC, Lárus Blöndal, activated the website at a formal ceremony in the heart of Reykjavik, Laugardalur, where eight out of eleven competitions will take place. During the GSSE 2015, around 1200 volunteers will be needed for various projects. Among the volunteer´s projects are:

• At competition venues: assisting throughout the athlete’s journey at the Games: from arrival and training, to weighing and the assembly of sports equipment. Assisting in various areas involving technology, results and timing.
• At the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the medal ceremonies.
• At health-service: assisting athletes and help the public in an emergency.
