Olympic day celebrated

Tomorrow at 9.30 am around 500 school children will visit Laugardalur. The children are students in six different elementary schools in the Reykjavik area. They get the chance to try various sports, including Fencing, Athletics, Soccer, Glima (icelandic wrestling) and Bowling.  

During the Games, representatives from the NOC of Iceland and other federations, have met with the school children and introduced to them various sports. The children have been open to try different sports and get to know the Olympic Spirit. 

Blossi, the Games´ Mascot will be around the area, cheering the children on, and ready for photoshoots.
