Luxembourg winner in the Women´s Competition in Basketball

Women´s basketball team from Luxembourg won the Gold Medal after an exciting final game against Iceland 54-59 at Laugardalshöll Sports Hall today.

The Icelandic team was the stronger party in the first half and led by six points in half time.
The third period Luxembourg had all the power on the court and went into the fourth and final, scoring with a six-point advantage 43-49.
Luxembourg continued to improve on its advantage in the beginning of the fourth period but the Icelandic girls got back into the game and got the score down to four points when only nine seconds were left.
In the end Luxembourg won 54 – 59 and are the GSSE 2015 winners in the Women´s Competition in Basketball.
