Sara Rún Hinriksdóttir ( bytes)I started training basketball at the age of 7 in my hometown Keflavik. My goal is to study and play basketball in America. It would be a dream come true to be able to play professionally in the future. My other hobbies are all kinds of sports and travelling. My favourite basketball memory is when my team and I won the Junior Icelandic Championships 2012 after two times extended time. My favourite sports memory is when Aníta Hinriksdóttir won the European Championships in athletics, as well as when the Men´s Icelandic Handball Team won silver in the Olympics 2008.

The main achievement

  • Icelandic Champion and Trophy Champion with all age groups in Keflavik. 
  • European Champion in C-group with under 16 years old.
