Competition starts with Shooting

GSSE 2015 Competition begins today. Shooting sports competition begins at 9 in air rifle men and finishes at 13. Competition in air rifle women is from 13 to 16.

Petra Zublasing, from Italy, women's World Champion and women´s shooter of the year, will be the main presenter in shooting at the Games.

Icelandic shooters, many of whom participated in previous GSSE, have done well and come home with a prize. It will be interesting to see how they perform the next few days. These include Jón Þór Sigurðsson, who broke an Icelandic record at the last Icelandic Championships in 60 clips lying rifle. Icelandic Champion in air rifle women, Íris Eva Einarsdóttir, will undoubtedly challenge her rivals.

Thomas Viderö from Denmark, who won air pistol at last GSSE, is among the competitors.
